The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of
Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a working meeting with the rectors of medical
universities and heads of medical faculties and introduced them with the
decision and action plan of the Interagency Council.
According to Mikheil Chkhenkeli, as decreed by the Interagency
Coordination Council, senor medical students are to be trained in order to
create a reserve of medical staff. After conducting a swift training and
passing the course, if necessary, the senior students will help the medical
field to combat and manage the virus.
Mikheil
Chkhenkeli noted that in order to effectively manage the process, a working
group will be set up, which, according to the pandemic situation, will
coordinate the training of senior students and, if necessary, involve them in
the medical process. Accordingly, a base of senior medical students will be
created, who will undergo a rapid training course.
