The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, participated in an event organized by the Georgian Business Association, unveiling the new project 'Workforce Development in the Renewable Energy Sector.'
Addressing the audience, Minister Amilakhvari highlighted the project's uniqueness in training qualified personnel within the country's renewable energy sector. He emphasized that the development of an educational program and the creation of human capital in this field would significantly benefit the country's economy.
Giorgi Amilakhvari expressed gratitude to the Georgian Business Association and the US Agency for International Development for their collaboration and the implementation of the 'Workforce Development in the Renewable Energy Sector' initiative.
The project, funded by the USAID Industry-led Skills Development program through the initiative of the business association, has a total budget of approximately 1 million USD and is scheduled to run for two years. By the end of 2025, the initiative aims to train 250 students on both programs, with a total of 1300 students expected to be trained after the project's conclusion.
