The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, recently conducted a working meeting with the British Ambassador to Georgia, Mark Clayton. The meeting focused on collaborative educational projects supported by the British Council, exploring ways to deepen higher education cooperation, and discussing future endeavours. 

Minister Amilakhvari expressed immense gratitude to Ambassador Clayton for the UK's ongoing support of Georgia's education system, noting that several significant projects have been successfully implemented with the aid of the British government in recent years.

A key topic of discussion was the ongoing study of transnational education in Georgia, financially backed by the British Council. This research is pivotal in fostering and expanding British-Georgian collaborations within the higher education sector.

Furthermore, the meeting delved into the specifics of the upcoming World Education Forum, scheduled to take place in London this May.

Ambassador Clayton, on his part, thanked Minister Amilakhvari for the productive partnership and reaffirmed his commitment to pursuing joint initiatives.

The meeting was also attended by Zaza Purtseladze, the Head of the British Council's South Caucasus Mission.
