Within the Vocational education reform, ministers visited vocational college "Aisi", which is equipped to the needs of individuals with special educational needs. The rehabilitation processes was inspected by the Minister of Education and Science – Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava and the minister of Agriuculture – Mr. Otar Danelia. The ministers also met with the students, where they were introduced to the new workshops and laboratories.
“Vocational training facility, where the traditional environment meets modern infrastructure, with technology and innovative blended learning classrooms, this is Europe, we desire ... “ – said Minister Aleksandre Jejelava.
At the Vocational College "Aisi" there are specialties taught, which is important for the economic development of the region. Multipurpose college students, are mainly educated in the fields of agriculture and tourism, learning the professions of farming, winemaking, bee keeping, fruit and vegetable processing, grocery products, veterinary services, tractor operating, hotel management, tour guiding, tour operator (agro-tourism), cooking and others. There are 500 students learning approximately 35 professions.
The college is preparing best wine specialists for the five municipalities in the regions. The wine laboratory offers farmers with 19 wine quality parameters, which contributes to the realization of their local markets. College area is comprised of dormitory fit to accomodate 300 students. Additionally there is a hotel which operates for 70 students.
The Ministers inspected the house wine, a mini winery, wine cellar, wine press, bee house, a mini-canning factory, which exists at the college premises.
