Vocational College "ICAROS" in cooperation with the Millennium Challenge Fund, held a presentation “The Employers Forum for Tourism Development”.
The representatives of the vocational College "Icarus”, in order to increase the employers involvement, shared their experiences with the participants of the forum. In particular, how the market requirements in the tourism industry is foreseen. The event was attended by the existing and future potential employers, students, teachers and the representatives of other education institutions. Also, a student contest was held in the existing college specialtis, and a teachers masterclass was conducted towards the end.
The project is funded by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation, signed between the Government of the United States and the Government of Georgia under a $ 140 million Compact. Within the framework of grant alloction, there are projects funded, which enhances the cooperation between educational institutions and the private sector, implement the educational programs which are relevant to the labor market demands and introduce modern teaching methods.
The participants were welcomed by the Minister of Education and Science - Aleksandre Jejelava, The executive director of Millennium Challenge Account – Georgia – Magda Maghradze, the Deputy Director of the Resident Representative of Millennoum Challenge Corporation – Sonia Sharigiani, and the Head of Georgian National Tourism Administration – Giorgi Shogovadze.
