Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava, together with Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara Inga Shamilishvili opened the vocational training center in Batumi.
The activities of the center created on the base of the partner private company are as follows: fulfillment of the authorized programs (tourism, entrepreneurship, building, IT technologies, restaurant and hotel business, cook, confectioner, stylist...); implementation of short-term training / retraining courses; increase of involvement of business sector in the academic process; introduction and promotion of dual education; finding of various types of investments; implementation of the projects at national and international level.
At present, 100 vocational students pass the 4-month training program by order of the Adjara Employment Agency and funding of the Government of Adjara. Both college teachers and experienced managers of business (Radisson, Hotel MC, Euphoria, etc), companies and hotels give the lectures to them. The students pass the practice in the laboratories of the center, as well as in various companies.
