Within the scope of the vocational program registration, an open day was held for the individuals with disabilities at vocational college “Icarus”. Within the framework, the graduates and the alumni, shared their experience with the vocational courses, the enrollment procedures and registration, in conjunction with conducting a culinary lesson towards the end of the meeting.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, has started to implement the inclusive vocational education since 2013. The aim of the initiative is to increase the availability of vocational education for the IDPs and the disabled. Additionally, it is important to conduct the entire earning process in accordance with their individual abilities, interests and needs. The number of students enrolled in the vocational education is increased annualy.
