Registration of applicants for vocational education is underway between April 10 and April 22, 2018. All interested individuals have the opportunity to master a vocation of their preference, fully funded by the state, ranging from; tourism, construction, agriculture, transport, information technology and other fields.
Also, several new educational programs in terms of work-based (dual) learning
has been implemented such as; electricity, restaurant business, hotel service,
road construction, culinary, fruit growing, construction of railroad tracks,
railroad monitoring). The above mentioned programs will be implemented in
cooperation with the partner industry employers by the vocational colleges of
Tbilisi, Kobuleti and Batumi.
The registration can be completed
by using the National ID card in educational resource centers throughout
Georgia as well as in vocational educational institutions.
Also, applicants have the opportunity to use the electronic
(online) registry via www.vet.emis.ge website. Please note that registration can be
done on several programs at once.
The registered applicant shall, within a few days after the
registration, receive an examination card with the information about the
location and date of the testing. Following the test results, applicants will
have the opportunity to review their choice of the program, and if needs be
change their preference towards the desirable course, taking into consideration
their test results and statistics from the previous year.
Information on vocational testing and sample tests are available
on the website of the National Assessment and Examinations Center (www.naec.ge). Individuals with special
educational needs are being registered on the basis of the abovementioned
procedure, but they have the chance to undergo an alternative testing process.
Like the previous year, the 2018 spring reception of Georgian citizens
representing ethnic minorities who failed to obtain vocational education
because of the language barrier will have the opportunity to pass the test in
Russian, Armenian or Azeri languages. The Georgian language module is
integrated into the vocational education courses.
