Irina Abuladze, Deputy Minister of
Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited summer schools of
science and English, in conjunction with meeting with students and getting
acquainted with works of the young inventors.
The project is being implemented on the
premises of Buckswood International School Tbilisi, with 750 students from the
best regions of Georgia participating in the National Olympiads.
Summer school activities are divided into
two parts: in the first half of the day it is mainly loaded with academic
activities, while the second half is consisted with a variety of sporting and
creative activities, excursions and outdoor activities.
The science summer school program is mainly
focused on mathematics and informatics. Students get acquainted with
interesting information from the field of science, lectures and seminars with
invited lecturers, and specialists in the field.
At the English Summer School, the academic
part covers both English and British culture and traditions. In general English
lessons, students are introduced to various topics such as travel, music,
advertising, film industry and more. The tutorial process is loaded with lots
of fun activities that allow the learner to maximize their abilities.
The best students will be selected from
each of the camps, some of whom will travel to Switzerland, CERN (European
Center for Nuclear Research), and some to Poland, Copernicus Science Center,
and students from English camp to Buckswood School in the UK.
