The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport has introduced a new, special program - the National Teacher School, which aims to support and further assist teachers and practicing teachers alike.
The key to the complex reform is to improve teachers' conditions, to value and recognize their craft and occupation, and to provide multifaceted opportunities for teacher professional development and professional growth. As part of the reform, the Ministry is making full efforts to support both new and existing teachers, in conjunction with aiding practicing teachers to enhance their vocational status.
As a result of the news being announced over the last few months, this year, for the second time, an unprecedentedly high number of appointees and educators have registered for the Competency Assessment exam.
The main purpose of education reform is to provide quality education in schools across the cities, districts and rural areas. Qualified teachers and quality education should be equally accessible to all public schools around the country.
