As part of a comprehensive education reform, new standards for authorization in the vocational education system have been adopted, bringing the vocational education system closer to the European standard.

With the changes, vocational colleges are now able to apply to the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement for authorization of secondary vocational programs and to provide students with basic education (9th grade) with full vocational education.

As part of vocational education, the authorization provision has been fully revised and new standards have been introduced - along with the institution's human and material resources, the new regulation will assess the college's strategic vision, student services, information and financial resources, and place greater emphasis on the overall program quality.

Moreover. instead of a rigid, two-level grading, a flexible and more college-based four-grade grading system will be introduced, with partial of full compliance with the standards.

It should be noted that changes were developed over a year and a half and involved all stakeholders including colleges, authorization boards, expert corps, NGOs, donor organizations and international experts.
