Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia held the next coordination meeting of donors online. The meeting was attended by all international organizations working in the field of vocational education in Georgia, who support the development of the ongoing complex reform. The webinar was attended by the following partner organizations: the EU Delegation to Georgia (EU), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank (WB), the European Development Agency Foundation, Dvvinternational,  and the German Embassy to Georgia.

Against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tamar Kitiashvili presented an action plan for cooperation with the international organizations in the field of vocational  education and focused on the challenges that need special emphasis. Several recommendations were also made by the donors when discussing the plan in detail.

Furthermore, during the webinar, Tamar Kitiashvili also discussed the innovations developed by the Ministry, thoroughly overviewed the ongoing and planned projects, and once again underlined the vital importance of supporting international organizations in the successful implementation of the educational reform.

In turn, donor organizations expressed their readiness to continue supporting vital projects for Georgia, to help the Ministry with the new initiative to overcome the difficulties caused by the pandemic, and to further promote cooperation in the field of vocational education.
