Meetings continue with the representatives of the private sector to discuss the Vocational Education for business after Covid-19 crisis.

This time, the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Tamar Kitiashvili, held an online workshop with various representatives of the Georgian Employers' Association, Industry Associations, and private companies.

The meeting discussed the needs of business in terms of human resources, and the steps to be taken by the Ministry. The first meeting of a similar format was held on May 29 with the support of the European Business Association.

Over the next two months, the ministry will continue to intensify its meetings with the private sector and associations. Meetings are to be held once a week and aim to engage a dialogue between the public and private sectors, in conjunction with identifying problems caused by COVID-19.

The Georgian Employers' Association (GEA) is one of the social partners of the Ministry, some of its members work closely with several vocational colleges and are involved in the preparation and of various training courses and programs.

Moreover, on the same day, representatives of the Association visited the College of Information Technology, and witnessed the learning environment, as well as learning about the existing programs. At this stage, online registration for vocational programs and short-term trainings is being implemented.
