From March 1, clinical, practical, laboratory components and examinations will be held in a non-distance format at higher education institutions throughout Georgia.

Nunu Mitskevichi, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labor Inspection Service of Georgia, visited the Tbilisi State Conservatory and the State Medical University to get acquainted the process.

According to the Deputy Minister, the universities meet all the sanitary-hygienic standards, and a safe educational environment is provided for the students. She once again called on students and academic staff to strictly follow the recommendations, provided by the healthcare expers.

According to the deputy Minister, programs in art and medical universities are loaded with practical components, therefore, the implementation of such programs in the natural format is crucial.

With the renewal of the study process in auditoriums, the Ministry has started a monitoring process focused on supporting the universities with the Labor Inspection Service, which will continue until the end of the academic year.

Please note, that according to the decision of the Coordination Council, the activities of the higher education institutions will be restored in 2 gradual stages. From March 1, universities are empowered to conduct clinical, practical, laboratory components and examinations in a non-distance format. With the beginning of the second stage, from March 15, they will be able to resume the teaching process in the classrooms. It should be noted that at both stages, the choice is voluntary and specific decisions are made by universities in consultation with the Ministry, individually.
