Starting in the 2024-2025 academic year, the program designed to prepare students from occupied territories for post-secondary education has been renewed. This program allows applicants who have completed their general education in the occupied territories within the last two years and whose education is recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia to spend one academic year enhancing their Georgian language skills and taking relevant subjects required for their desired higher education programs.
Under this initiative, beneficiaries will receive tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, and accommodation support. It is important to note that this program has not been in operation since 2019.
The electronic application process for enrollment in the program began today and will continue until September 5. Applications can be submitted through the administration of the temporary administrative-territorial unit established in the former South Ossetian Autonomous District, as well as the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia.
