Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Giorgi Amilakhvari held an introductory meeting with the UN Permanent Coordinator in Georgia. During the meeting, the Minister congratulated the Coordinator on their new appointment and expressed gratitude for the United Nations' support in developing education in Georgia.
Giorgi Amilakhvari provided an overview of the reforms across preschool, general, vocational, and higher education, as well as the steps and future plans for advancing youth policy. He emphasized that the Ministry has a long history of productive cooperation with the United Nations, resulting in the successful implementation of many important programs in recent years.
In response, Didier Trebuck praised the ongoing reforms in the education system and assured the Minister of his full support for the implementation of new initiatives.
