Within the confines of the project - “Private Sector Development in South Caucasus”, The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is successfully cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The project brings together a number of initiatives, which not only affects the development of vocational education, but also contributes to the successful cooperation of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia in the region of South Caucasus; in terms of exchanging the acquired knowledge, enhancing the collaborative relationships, and sharing professional experience between the countries.
With the support of German International Cooperation (GIZ), the project “Vocational Training Program for the Vocational Education Specialists” is being implemented successfully. The project, constitutes to retraining and increasing qualification of young Georgian, Azerbaijani and Armenian professionals in terms of pedagogy, didactics, management and administrative activities.A short-term vocational education program consists of three phases, which comprises of seven modules. The initial program modules will be taught in Georgia, while the rest of the educational modules will continue to run in Germany.
The initial modules of the program will be carried out in Georgia, while the remaining program modules will be executed in Germany. It needs to be mentioned, that during the initial stage of the module, students presented various presentations regarding the important issues of vocational education sector. In addition, there was a discussion between the representatives of Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia after the presentation.
The above-mentioned initiative will help the winners of the competition from those three countries to expand their knowledge and catch up with the latest trends in vocational education. In addition, this will enable them use the knowledge of the German vocational education system for the benefit of their country.
