The first private high-tech center - "Silicon Valley 's" is opened in Tbilisi. The Center will unite the IT Academy, business and technological universities, various schools, laboratories and research centers.
“Silicon Valley Tbilisi” will give the opportunity for the young Georgian developers, software engineers and entrepreneurs to fully develop their own ideas, skills and technological capacities. Within the scope of the project, offices, student campuses, summer schools, sports fields and swimming pools will be placed on the premises. “Silicon Valley Tbilisi” will cover all the stages which is necessary to establish Georgia as a country of technology exporter.
