Owing to the initiative of British Council and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a conference was held regarding the inclusive education. During the conference, the Ministry has presented a report regarding the ongoing activities, and emphasized once more the importance and significance of introducing and establishing a culture of inclusive education in the Georgian educational practice.

Within the scope of the conference, the sides talked about presenting the special services, which is designed specifically for the individuals with special educational needs, the importance of crafting an educastional plan, and creating preventive mechanisms in order to avoid students being left outside of school and education.

With the support of British Council, the conference participants had the opportunity to hear the lectures, presented by the British Consultant – David Crabtry, talking about the politics and practices of Great Britain, “Individual Educational Plans”, and “10 approaches to Inclusive Education”

The conference was opened by the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava, and was attended by the deputy Minister – Lia Gigauri, the Ambassador of Great Britain in Georgia – Justin McKenzie, and the representatives of international and non-government organizations, as well as the private and public school principals.
