Promotion of realization of the vocational education potential was discussed at the second forum of Education Policy, organized by UNICEF Georgia, World Bank and TSU International School of Economics (ISET).
Promotion to development of vocational education is the significant priority for the Government of Georgia. As a result, there has been a lot of positive changes in recent years, in particular, vocational education has become available to people of all ages, studying is funded by the state, the colleges offer innovative and distinguished learning environment to the students, unemployment levels among the vocational programs graduates is reduced. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to do in order to increase involvement of private sector in vocational education, it is necessary to increase their motivation and to suggest such cooperation, which will be complemented with the private sector needs and will provide the labor market with qualified staff.
Steps, approaches and recommendations, necessary for solution of the problems in vocational education and for further development, were discussed within the framework of the forum.
