A new vocational educational institution will be built in Zestafoni Municipality, with the purpose to support to filling and employment of professional staff of the construction industry. For this purpose, a Memorandum of Cooperation was concluded between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the company “m2 Real Estate”, which was signed by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Ketevan Natriashvili and Director General of “m2” – Mr. Irakli Burdiladze. According to the Memorandum, the Ministry and the subsidiary of “m2” – “BK Construction” signed an agreement to establish and develop a new vocational educational institution in Zestafoni Municipality.
The new college will train more than 200 students per annum with dual educational programs and will offer more than 20 short-term vocational courses in the field of engineering as well. The dormitory located on the college base will also host the residents from other municipalities. The teaching includes both a theoretical and practical course that will be conducted on “m2” facilities. Most of the graduates will be employed by “m2” and its subsidiary “BK Construction” on their own constructions.
Within the framework of the vocational education reform, access to vocational education is increasing in the regions and teaching quality is improving through public and private partnership format. Education and employment promotion is one of the main directions for the Ministry as well as for “m2”, since the company’s goal is to employ the professionals only in its own projects, which will facilitate establishment of new vocational college.
