Students involved in the vocational education system and
the interested people will be able to get full general education. After completion
of the vocational level, they will be able to continue their studies at the
highest level, in case of desire.
Integration of the secondary level of general education in
vocational education is one of the important components of the grant project
signed between the UNDP and the National Center for Educational Quality
Enhancement. The project is being implemented in pilot mode at the initial
stage.
Piloting process was initiated in July and three vocational
institutions are involved in it. Integration of the secondary level of general
education in vocational education aims at eradicating of the education deadlock
in vocational education.
A two-day working meeting was held at Ilia
Tsinamdzgvrishvili Public College, aiming to review the work and modules
implemented within the component, as well as to discuss the first results of monitoring
and recommendations.
Presentations of modules and teacher guidebooks were provided
at the meeting. The parties also discussed the recommended approaches to teaching
and evaluation. Participant teachers received the answers to the questions
interesting for them from the authors of the modules.
