The graduates of Georgian Vocational College will leave for the world renowned international competition WolrdSkills. The competition will take place in Abu-Dhabi from October 14 to October 19. Our students will compete the representatives of 77 countries in 7 professions – culinary and confectionary, restaurant services, hairdressing, graphic design, information network wiring and web design.
The Participants from Georgia were selected through the competition organized under the WorldSkills Georgia and went through a special preparatory period prior to the international competition. This year the competition is held for the 44th time. Georgia has joined this important event a couple of years before and is participating for the third time this year.
The WorldSkills Georgia represents a joint project by Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement which is aimed to promote vocational education in Georgia to improve the quality, approximate to international standards and gain internationalization. WorldSkills is an excellent platform for introduction and development of professional skills.
Georgia has been a member of WorldSkills International since 2012 which unites 77 countries at the moment. The large-scale competitions are offered once a year in the member states and are participated by the students up to 22 years-old who will compete with one another within the four days.
