The presentation of the intermediate results of the trilateral joint program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, UNICEF and the Estonian Government was held. The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the results of the joint program, evaluate, analyze and discuss the future Action Plan in regard to the program.

In 2017, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, UNICEF and the Government of Estonia launched a joint three-year program aimed at facilitating the introduction of the third generation National Curriculum in Georgia and creation of bachelor’s and postgraduate (master’s) courses for future teachers in state universities. Within the scope of the program, Georgian specialists received technical assistance, provided by the experts of INNOVE fund of the Ministry of Education and Research of Estonia.

As a result of the co-operation: National Center for Education Quality Enhancement has prepared and approved subjective features on January 3, 2018; consequently, in order to obtain accreditation, Georgian state universities have presented Bachelor and Master teacher training programs to the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement; Primary grade (1-6), and basic grade (7-9), third generation national curriculum has been approved.

Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Alexander Tevzadze, and the representatives of the Estonian Embassy to Georgia attended the presentation held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
