A Memorandum of cooperation has been signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, to further enhance friendly relations and improve the prospects of cooperation between the two countries.
The memorandum was signed by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia -Mikheil Batiashvili, and the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation - Enzo Moavero Milanesi.
The memorandum for the project – Italy – Georgia, Exchange Program for the Artists, entails showcasing the works of Italian and Georgian modern artists to the society, in conjunction with promoting Arts and Aesthetics in general. Moreover, the memorandum aims at exchanging ideas between the artists of the two countries.
Within the scope of the above-mentioned Memorandum, the exchange program will be introduced between the two countries, which will enable artists working in the field of Contemporary Art to enhance their knowledge and experience, as well as to organize their artistic and cultural activities in a different environment.
Italian beneficiaries in Georgia, and Georgian beneficiaries in Italy, will live and work in Turin for a month, which will in turn, further deepen the cultural relations between Georgia and Italy.
Implementation of the exchange program in Italy and Georgia is provided by the Institute of Visual Arts (IGAV), Italian Embassy in Georgia and LEPL - Creative Georgia.
