Ekaterine Dgebuadze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labor Inspection Department visited Tbilisi Public Schools №175 and №45 and got acquainted with the epidomological situation at general educational institutions.

Due to the pandemic, caused by the novel COVID-19 virus, in-person learning process at Public Schools  №175 and №45  were temporarily switched to online learning, to prevent the further spread of the virus. Currently, the educational process at both educational institutions continues uninterrupted.

To avoid the further virus dissemination, a safe educational environment is provided at public schools in full compliance with the recommendations developed by the Ministry of Health and hygienic-sanitary norms. Isolation rooms are arranged, where a patient will be moved, in case of fever or any other COVID-related symptopms are emerged.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze: “The educational process continues uninterrupted, in full compliance with the safety rules developed by the Ministry of Health. Having said this, I would like to ask all parents to strictly follow the rules set by the Ministry of Health. Those who wish to continue their education remotely, can register on the online learning portal and await their confirmation.”

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia imposes point restrictions on schools where COVID-19 infection is confirmed, which means that in order to prevent tnhe virus from further disseminatio, the school, on the recommendation of epidemiologists, either switches to distance learning or to a specific room/floor.

Prior to the start of the school year, the Ministry provided public schools across the country with all the necessary hygiene equipment and subsequent  items. Additionally, the process of guideline establishment provided by the Ministry of Health is monitored by the Labor Inspection Services systematically.
