The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia continues to monitor schools throughout the country. This time, the First Deputy Minister, Ekaterine Dgebuadze visited Batumi and Kobuleti public schools and together with the Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara, Maia Khajishvili, personally assessed the measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze and Maia Khajishvili talked to students and teachers and discussed important issues related to the learning process during a pandemic.

The educational process in Adjara is carried out in accordance with the sanitary-hygienic norms and the attendance rate of students is quite high. According to Ekaterine Dgebuadze, in order to maintain the positive dynamics of the virus in the Adjara region and to continue the educational process in classrooms, it is important for each member of the school community to strictly follow the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze thanked each school principal, administration and teachers for their instant adaptation to the unusual reality during the pandemic. Additionally, she said that despite the many challenges in remote learning, they have successfully managed to organize the learning process properly.

According to last week's data, the rate of virus infection in schools across the country, including Adjara, remains low.
