On World Book and Copyright Day, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, presented books as gifts to children in need of special care as part of the #GiftBook campaign.

School, art and illustrated publications were donated by the Minister to students with special educational needs, as well as adolescents treated in the oncological department of the Iashvili Clinic and juvenile convicts in various penitentiary institutions throughout Georgia.

Today the world celebrates the World Book and Copyright Day, which has been celebrated in Georgia for almost 20 years. At the same time, this day was established as a book gift day in Georgia, which is the best initiative to promote books and literacy.

Mikheil Chkhenkeli was actively involved in the #Giftbook campaign and gave special gifts to children to motivate and develop their literacy taste.
