Certificates were awarded to teachers of Keda and Akhmeta schools within the framework of the project "Teachers' e-Skills Development Initiative". At the closing ceremony, the organizers summarized the 10-month program and shared the results achieved and best practices with the meeting participants.

The project was implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the US Embassy. The closing event was attended by the Ambassador of the United States of America - Kelly Degnan, the Director of the American Council for International Education in Georgia - Timothy Blauvelt.

Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, took part in the award ceremony, thanked the teachers for their selfless work in the pandemic, and highlighted the US Embassy's support for the development of general education.

Significantly, the thirty teachers selected under the program improved their e-skills and deepened their knowledge within the 8 learning modules, both in a student-cantered approach as well as in the development of modern teaching and e-resources. The curriculum consisted of both theoretical and practical parts, which enabled the participating teachers to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. As a result of the program, teachers updated their existing lesson plans and integrated electronic methods and resources into the learning process.

The event was attended by civil and private sector representatives and teachers participating in the program.

The e-Teacher E-Skills Development Initiative project, funded by the US Embassy Alumni Grant Program, has been implemented in the municipalities of Keda and Akhmeta since September 2020. The aim of the project was to modernize the classroom environment, to adapt to the needs of the student and to develop e-skills and support of distance learning for school teachers.
