From June 15 to July 19, a summer camp for Ukrainian teenagers is taking place in Kakheti, supported financially by the Government of Georgia. The camp welcomes students from Ukraine as well as children of National Guard servicemen.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, along with the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth, Giorgi Amilakhvari, and Archil Talakvadze, head of the parliamentary group of friendship with Ukraine, met with the Ukrainian students participating in the second session of the camp. The students presented symbolic gifts to the Prime Minister and performed songs in both Georgian and Ukrainian languages.
During their two-week stay, the Ukrainian students will engage in various cultural, cognitive, and entertainment activities, including excursions to Tbilisi, Sighnaghi, and Bodbe.
The second stream of the camp has brought children of National Guard servicemen from Kyiv, following the first stream, which hosted students from Kharkiv from June 15 to June 29.
The organization of the summer camp for Ukrainian students has been made possible through the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, in collaboration with the Youth Agency of the Republic of Georgia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
