In October 2015, national intellect championship "Etaloni-Tbilisi” started. At the current stage, schools from 4 Tbilisi district got involved: Gldani, Chugureti, Mtatsminda and Didube. Schools from the rest 6 districts will participate in the intellect championship in 2016.

In each district “Etaloni” competition has been held between teams of district schools. Each school chose 10 students (from 8th including 12th grades) for group and they were answering the questions selected based on “Etaloni” principle (question with 4 possible answers shows up on the big screen, the team records its answer on the tablet, which is recorded in a special computer system within precision of tenth of a second)

In each district, 4 leader teams were selected. Gldani: №175, 174, 79 and 115 public schools, Chugureti: №63, 29, 24 and 2 public schools, Mtatsminda: №20, 47, 42 and 51 public schools, Didube: №155, 166, 140 public schools and private school “Saduni”.

Intellectual teams of 16 schools (16 teams and 160 pupils) have competed today with one another. The winners – the first place winners are representatives of Public School №166, the second place winners are representatives of Public school №42 and the third place winners are from Private School “Saduni”. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri and Tbilisi Mayor Davit Narmania awarded the winners.

National intellect championship of Georgia "Etaloni” is taking place with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the project “Etaloni-Tbilisi” in partnership with the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.
