A few days ago, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University archeological expedition discovered the new archeological artifacts. The latest discovery dates back to the XI-X century BC. Today, the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava was introduced to the new artifacts.

During the field works on the Grakliani Hill, where unknown manuscripts are still preserved, appeared a clay sculpture resembling a ram head. Whereas, the main body part is of clay sculpture and resembles a geometric face. According to the TSU archeological expedition, this could be a part of the décor or a magical Stella. The head of the expedition, Professor Vakhtang Licheli believes, that in any case the found artifact was intended for the cult ceremonies, as it was erected in front of the altar.

The archeological excavations on the Grakliani Hill (Caspi region) has started in 2007 by Tbilisi State University, and it soon was stablished as a scientific field training base for the university students. Tbilisi State University Archeological expedition found a rare inscription on the Grakliani Hill in 2015, which may completely change the history of the written language. Due to the archeological excavations, an unknown manuscript was found on a temple pedestal, and according to the BETA Laboratory of Miami (USA), the manuscript was dated back to the XI-X century, thus making Georgia a member of the elite civilizations, who owned their own manuscripts thousands of years ago.
