A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Ministry of Education and Science in the frames of “Save Water” campaign, organized by “Georgian Water and Power” Company.

The Memorandum aims at facilitating implementation of ongoing education reform in Georgia, raising students’ awareness on water usage habits, encouraging taking care of environment and water resources and reduction of deleterious effect on them.

This kind of cooperation is unprecedented. A great many contests and activities, which will raise students’ awareness, teach them love for nature, water resources and taking care of them are provided under this cooperation.

The aforementioned document was signed at public school No 117, where presentation of an unprecedented national education campaign “Save Water” was launched as well. Its pilot project was implemented at 16 schools in Varketili District in the course of three months alongside with the NGO “EkoVision”. Awarding ceremony for environment contest winner students was also held there. Tbilisi Mayor, Ministers of Agriculture and Environment and Natural Resources Protection respectively, participated in the activity.
