Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Tariel Khechikashvili and the representatives of sport federations attended the sports events of the pupils and summarized the progress of the project within the framework of the project on introduction of healthy lifestyle in schools.

Introduction of a healthy lifestyle among the pupils and popularization of sports is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Accordingly, through organization of the public schools, with involvement of the Resource Officers of Educational Institutions and Sports Federations, over 7,000 activities were held in different types of sports within the framework of the project, in which 17,000 pupils were involved.

The sports federations and the ministers took active participation in the conclusive sports events of all stages of the Tbilisi schools, after completion of which the representatives of the sports federations were awarded with certificates for their support.

The Office of the Resource Officer will continue active promotion of organization of the sports events and popularization of healthy lifestyle together with provision of safe environment in future.
