The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has participated in the Youth Job Fest. The representatives of the Ministry familiarized the job seekers with vacant positions for interns in the department and provided them with information on vocational education programs and providers. The discussion touched upon the role and importance of vocational education as the shortest way to employment.
Job Fest - new opportunity for employment of young people. Young people, students and graduates of higher and vocational institutions from the age group of 18 to 29 participated in Job Fest. For the first time, up to 80 employers (state and private sector) have presented more than 900 vacancies. The aim of the festival is to connect employers and job seekers. Specially, for Job Fest, a new soft was created on the web portal of the Social Service Agency www.worknet.gov.ge with address www.jobfest.ge. The registration process started on June 14 and ended on June 24 at 24.00. Up to 2300 job seekers have passed the registration. Information on companies participating in Job Fest and their vacancies were posted on www.studentjob.ge, job seekers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the vacancies in advance, so that they can easily contact and communicate with the selected companies.
Youth Job Fest was organized by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Tbilisi City Hall and NGO HR hub.
