The Memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Organization “Save the Children International” in order to promote inclusive education.

Within the framework of the Memorandum, a number of activities will be implemented in 2017 for promotion of inclusive education, including, the “Day Center Service” will be created in the second half of the day for pupils with special educational needs involved in inclusive education in Public School №1 of Borough Kazreti of Bolnisi Municipality. The admission procedure of pupils with special educational needs to boarding schools will be developed.

Within the framework of the Memorandum the working document of the State Strategy and Action Plan for Development of Inclusive and Special Education (2018-2020) will also be developed.

In addition, from September of 2017, piloting of implementation of teaching methodology of Georgian language and literature envisaged by working version of alternative curriculum and developed for “students with severe injury of mental development” is planned.
