For the support of enhancement of competence of vocational
college staff, the Consultation and Training Center (CTC), with the support of
the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, has conducted a training
course. The topic of the training, which was selected based on the needs of vocational
colleges, was a study of vocational education graduates. After completion of
the training course, the vocational colleges will be able to conduct research
of graduates and to determine the efficiency or quality of training programs
themselves.
Within the frameworks of the training, the participants
got acquainted with the methodology of research of the graduates developed by
the Ministry of Education, specific research and international practice. In
addition, the representatives of the colleges shared their experiences about
the graduates’ research and discussed existing challenges.
14 vocational colleges were involved in the training and
all the educational institutions implementing vocational programs in Georgia
were able to take part. The training was conducted within the frameworks of the
EU-funded project “Development of Formal and Non-formal Vocational Education of
Agro-business of Georgia”, which is implemented in partnership with the Consultation
and Training Center (CTC).
