Within the frameworks of the grant competition of the Millennium Challenge Account’s project - “Vocational Education for Economic Development”, Community College “Spectrum” was equipped with the laboratories of latest standards.

Laboratories of electricity, conditioning, welding and underground communications are the first in Georgia, and teaching with these standards will be available only in “Spectrum”. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited new laboratories.

Within the frameworks of the grant, the vocational college has received accreditation of BTEC - Business and Technology Education Council from the international partner “Pearson Education Limited”. For the new academic year, new vocational education programs were developed and, together with BTEC experts, international standards syllabus and evaluation systems were determined.

From now on, a student enrolled in the college will be automatically placed in the general database of the BTEC and will receive an international certificate after completing the course.

The laboratories, organized in “Spectrum”, are used in all developed countries in the teaching process. These laboratories give the college an opportunity to start teaching of cold welding for the first time in Georgia, which is a highly demanded and highly paid profession and has not been taught in Georgia yet.

Community College “Spectrum” is the educational institution basically in the field of construction and engineering, which cooperates with more than 300 companies and continuously performing internships and employment programs. The college has already signed up to 300 memorandums with the local companies, where the students are undergoing internships.
