The retraining of pre-school coordinators, tutors and teachers has begun at the National Center for Teacher Professional Development. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Lia Gigauri and the Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development – Giorgi Machabeli got acquainted with the entire training course.
The Methodists are getting familiar with the pre-school education standards, in conjunction with the raising important such as; what skills, abilities and attitude should a citizen of 21st century possess, and what does the Georgian Legislation have to say about the Convention on the rights of children.
The Training modules consists of 33 sessions, and each sessions lasts for two hours.
The trainings are evaluated by a 100-point system. In order to get a certificate, a participant must attend 80% of the training module and earn at least 60 points out of 100 points.
It is important to note, that about 600 preschools will undergo the training procedure throughout Georgia.
