A new school of modern standards was opened by Irina Abuladze –
the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia in the
village of Chianeti, Ozurgeti municipality.
The school is equipped with new inventory, modern appliances,
laboratory for teaching accurate and up to date natural sciences, a library, a
medical cabinet and an open field. The building is adapted for students with
special educational needs, it has a special adapted elevator, pandus, and
appropriate bathrooms. The school construction was financed by the state budget amounting to a total of 1
507 000 GEL.
The old building of the village Chanieti school was amortized. Subseqently,
current students were studying in a temporary alternative, nonstandard
building. In such conditions, the process of learning led to a massive outflow
of school students. But, luckily the construction of a new, modern school
helped to reunite the students from the village.
Since
2012, 48 new schools have been built throughout Georgia.
