Two more schools have been added to the list of fully rehabilitated public schools, funded by the Millennium Challenge Fund. Natia Zedginidze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, together with the Executive Director – Magda Maghradze, government officials and local self-government representatives, opened the 6th and 7th public schools in Zestaponi, where up to 2000 pupils can now enjoy, a modern, fully refurbished and fully equipped school premises.
Since 2015, by the grace of American government’s continuous funding , 69 public schools have been rehabilitated in Imereti, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Shida Kartli, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi-Kvemo Svaneti, Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti and Adjara. Rehabilitation of public schools is going on in several schools of Adjara, West Georgia and Kakheti, which will be completed by July 2019. "Within the framework of the project, up to 91 public schools will be fully rehabilitated and equipped with the corresponding natural sciences laboratories.
